ESG Report 2024 - Euro Pool Group

Circularity has always been at the heart of our business model, seamlessly aligning with efficiency and our sustainability objectives. In 2024, we saw increased collaboration with our customers, with sustainability managers joining procurement and logistics representatives in our discussions. This shift highlights the growing importance of sustainable partnerships in supply chains and EPG’s role in advancing these initiatives.

Significant progress in 2024

The year 2024 was a positive year for Euro Pool Group (EPG), as we achieved solid results both financially and in sustainability. Our divisions, Euro Pool System and La Palette Rouge, continue to deliver strong performances, reinforcing their role as trusted partners in helping customers navigate strategic and sustainability related challenges.

Gerjo Scheringa, CEO: “We continued making significant progress in 2024 towards reducing our emissions across all three scopes. Highlights include procurement of green energy and PEFC certified wood approaching 100% of our needs, adopting lower-temperature washing processes, and advancing water reuse—with the potential to achieve up to 80% reuse. When implementing systems for efficient water use, we prioritise regions where water is scarce and costly.”

ESG Approach

At Euro Pool Group we work with our employees, customers and partners to enable circularity in the supply chain and to make reuse the norm.

To create circular progress for our stakeholders, we use Environment, Social, Governance (ESG) criteria to guide our sustainability strategy and reporting. It enables us to manage and measure our actual or potential impact on people and the environment. By focusing on key material topics such as carbon reduction and water reuse, we reduce negative impact, increase positive impact, mitigate risks, and seize opportunities.

The basis of our ESG-strategy consists of the material topics that we, together with our stakeholders, identified in our double materiality analysis of 2023.

A message from the Sustainability team

Lisa Freudenthaler, Group Sustainability Manager: “I am proud of the progress we have made at EPG in building a forward-looking strategy and sustainability team. We are continuously strengthening both to ensure long-term resilience and impact. At EPG, sustainability is embraced by everyone—not just our team—which makes this an inspiring place to work.

A highlight of 2024 was collaborating more closely with colleagues through the Climate Fresk training. Engaging with teams across regions, learning about climate change, and aligning on our sustainability strategy was both energising and unifying. These connections helped drive our shared goals forward.”
